Ronda and Axarquia. Gastronomic route between wine and risings

Malaga's gastronomy is one of the least known and at the same time one of the most important, where raisins and wine stand out.
The region of Axarquia, a little known place that has much to discover. Place par excellence of raisin production, with an exceptional Raisin Route, recognized as SIPAM (Ingenious System of World Agricultural Production) in 2018.
On the other hand, Ronda is the cradle of the Malaga Wine Route and one of the most famous villages in the country.
In this getaway we will visit both places with an expert guide to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MALAGA
Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Possibility to have lunch at a "chiringuito" (beach bar) with the typical "espetos" and "pescaito" (small fish). Meeting at the indicated time for a short walk through the city, before heading to the restaurant to enjoy a paired dinner. Possibility to have a drink in the center. Overnight stay.

DAY 2: RONDA
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the beautiful and stately town of Ronda. First we visit one winery of the area with wine tasting of "D.O. Sierras de Málaga" with an aperitif. Transfer to the center for a walk and contemplate "El Tajo" and lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Malaga and rest of the afternoon at leisure or possibility to visit an olive oil mill. Lodging.

DAY 3: AXARQUIA - RETURN
Visit to Viñedos Verticales, a traditional wine press, a tool house where the raisins are stored and chopped, raisins and UCOPAXA cooperative. We then head to the vineyards in the Loma de los Jacintos and Cerro de Vallejos.  Here we can observe the rugged landscape that makes the Axarquia so original and unique. Points of reference and interest for the visitor are La Maroma, the highest peak in the province. Whitewashed villages nestled on the top of a mountain, as is the case of Comares, El Hoyo de Zafarraya, natural boundary between Granada and Malaga. Periana, Canillas, etc. and of course the incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea from 450mts above sea level.  We will learn about the work of cultivation of the vine, the type of varieties grown, the development and production of muscatel raisins. Then we will go to other winery.  We will visit the facilities, learn about its history as well as the production of wines DO. Malaga and DO. Sierras de Málaga that are produced there. Tasting of three wines accompanied by cold appetizers and then enjoy a menu of local products, lunch at a local restaurant with products "Kilometer 0". Return to Malaga and free afternoon.
